I'm a freelance journalist in Portland, Oregon. Born and raised in Montana, I graduated from the University of Montana's School of Journalism and worked as a reporter at the Missoula Independent and Willamette Week, Portland's Pulitzer Prize-winning weekly newspaper. I've written for Good Magazine, the Associated Press, Maxim, Metropolis, Portland Monthly and a strange and mismatched variety of other publications. My first book, The Renegade Sportsman, is scheduled for publication in 2009 by Riverhead Books.
